A Letter

If I had a few moments
to say goodbye
there would be three words.
If we had a minute to apologize
I would be talking
more than you.
If I had an hour
there wouldn't be much heard
I'd be too busy trying to
burn your image in my mind.
If I had a day
to remember, and create memories
a hundred things would be done
and a thousand said.
But because I have a letter,
only words on a page,
just one,
it's to you.
Doesn't that explain it all?
