The Letter to the 9th Grade Me

This week I read a poem called

The Red Wheelbarrow yet I couldn't understand

Why so much emphasize was being placed on a

An old, beaten up wheelbarrow

I once said that life like a soccerball

All you have to look forward to

Are days that aren't sweltering hot

Thinking about how to avoid bruises and scratches

An attitude soon catches

But I'm older now can't you see

I see the joy in the little things now

I get a C in Calculus, that's great I passed!

Once you start to see the tiny happy things in your life

You'll be alright

It's all about the little red wheelbarrow

So please ninth grade me

See the good in people sooner

Take chances

Don't stand by and wait by the curve

Jump off the bridge

This week I read a poem called

The Red Wheelbarrow yet I couldn't understand

Why so much emphasize was being placed on a

An old, beaten up wheelbarrow

Please try to see the meaning for me.

Sincerely,

12th Grade Me
