A Letter About Someone Who Will Never Read It
To Unknown
Nights like these, where i lack warmth, is when memories seep into the cracks of my heart. Where they crash over me like tidal waves and rush in like a storm.
Curse the phone calls we had late at night and the nicknames you gave me. Curse the fact they made me feel special when you had someone else on your mind. Curse the nurturing velvetly voice you used that laced me in auditory esctacy.
When will I have the capacity to love with the strength of a thousands suns? When will the rain and lightning inside my head stop pouring and striking?
Tears in the corners of my eyes because you never said goodbye. You had no right to my heart, my mind or my soul. I deserve someone worth my time and love.
You made my body suffer and my knees weak. Hearing your name caused the ground under me to violently shake and my lungs to feel like they collapsed on me.
Grazes against the skin cause me to shrivel up and turn cold. I’ve bathed in the holiest of places to get rid of your touch that was so impure.
If I ever dare to kiss your lips again, know it’s not in love but in greed. All that is won, will be lost. Day would turn to a forever night and dawn will never reappear in my mind. Or so it’ll seem at least.
To want someone is one of the worst pains in the world but knowing you’ll never have them and accepting that fact is the greatest defeat.
