A Letter to Death- The Misunderstood

Dear Death,

They have always portayed you with a knife

Stealing a life, never yours to possess

But I see you through sympathetic eyes

Looking past the lies, straying from their words

The public's verocity was not brought by your will

But the uncertain chill of insecurity

You may be nice, you may be kind

Yet left behind to ly in their fear

They'll never know the depth of your heart

They think they're smart, by assuming you're of little love or lack there of

They steal your emotions

And follow their notion that you end all beautiful things

But what if you are a phase

A simple step in an elaborate maze, but too tall to see over

They have always portrayed you with a knife

Stealing a life

No second chance

No backwards glance

But speak and I'll listen

beyond what they percieve

Sincerely, Kasey
