A Letter to a Friend (never sent)

Dear Friend,
I speak to you today like I do with most other days,
But not today we had a fight. Now,
I usually would brush it off but I don’t know how this one finishes.
Maybe your mad, maybe your sad.
But let me try and put you at ease but not without admittance.

Dear Friend,
I was wrong, and maybe I was right, but I was wrong.
Some would say that we were both wrong,
Some would side with the side they heard,
Some would say we weren’t even fighting about anything to win about,
Some would say that they ruined a day full of beautiful offerings,
Some would say that it really hurt.
I really wish that it didn’t happen, and am glad we know new limits, but I wish it didn’t happen.

Dear Friend,
I am scared.
If what you need is for my repentance you have mine,
If you need closer by physical force, you beat me,
If you need time for wounds to heal, you ignore me,
If you need money for my retribution, I’ll give it,
If you need fun to fill the void between us, I’ll plan it,
If you need a mental and verbal onslaught, I’ll take it.
I am scared, but I am hopeful.

Dear Friend,
I love you in the most wonderful non sexual way, I love you.
I am devoted to you, and I want you in my future.
Maybe we will never live together,
Maybe we will never cross paths in work, education, friends, but
I want to know you and want you to influence me.
I want to help you through a tough break up.
I want to help you break up with someone.
I want to speak to you in languages we don’t know.
I want to know you better than and less than, anybody and everybody.
I want to see you grow up, and learn what true love is, and try to achieve more and more at work, and see you hope for more than anyone could ever attain, and see you when you reach to number 100 and see who ends up taming you and see your beautiful children and give them treats when your not looking and help you through a divorce, disaster, illness, death, a 40, mortgage, the night, and.

Nothing makes me more certain than the possibility we grow old together,
So forgive me Dear Friend.
