Letter to the Future

Dear Me,

”Do not go in that room to act up.”

”I’m questioning why she wanna get smacked up!”

”Calm down, you have too much to live for.”

“I’ll handle those problems after I handle this whore.”

”What about college? Just think about your future. You donot have to prove ANYTHING else

to her.”

”But she disrespected me too much for me to see through her! Couldn’t be honest? I came to her as a woman.

Things wouldn’t be like this, if SHE hadn’t come in.”

”You’ll look like a fool, fighting over a boy!”

”I can’t take this anymore, they've played me like a toy. He lied, She lies, It's time to fess up!”

”Don’t let others determine how or when YOU get stuck! Your letting your emotion get ahold of you.

Your dad will be disappointed, so you have to stay true!

Be a woman, stay classy, your rep will degrade...”

”No! I’m still a woman, just completely filled with rage!

I try my hardest with this dude. There ain’t no way I could try harder!

Ive dealt with so much, from my mother and my father.

I've held him up, when he fell to his worst, and guess which girl went to talk to who first?!”

She walked into the room to see the girl standing there

and instead ended up giving her lover a stare.

“I’m heated ! I gave my all to make us work. You can’t love me, I know cuz your all over her!”

”How could he do this? Should I talk to him now? He has to know how my world is upside down.

Without him I am lost, gazing in his eyes I can’t replace.

He takes my inner me with him. I’m not ME when he’s away.”

She starts crying in her hands, vanished of words to say.

Shes lost in her mind, she has to find her own way.

So she walks out the room, the door slams behind her,

”I can’t love him, when he’s standing beside her..”

”I’m sure you know what it is you have to do; make sure they’re aware, that you NEVER lose.”

”I can make it without him, and she irrelevant to me. Never again will I cry and I plead,

for a feeling I can gain all over again!”

”See, I knew you’d agree with me In the end.”

Sincerely, Me
