Letter to Her

It's 12 o'clock at night/

I'm calling to see if your alright/

I asked you if your going to work/

You said you might/

I understand the sacrifices you've made/

The hours put in to get paid/

Going to get that nursing degree/

Doing anything to help me/

I know you cry sometimes at home /

You feeling all alone/

I do everything in my power to make you stress free/

Want your life to be easy/

So please believe me/

I try , I try and I might fail/

But I always prevail/

And I do it all for you/

To see you smile it's so beautiful /

You told me to be a unique individual /

And not to follow the crowd/

Even though my dad's not around /

You made a way that we could be in connection/

Phone calls and texting/

Even though I was expecting/

You'd be mad/

All that anger towards my dad/

But you still ask is he's ok /

And want to know what he has to say/

I wouldn't want no one else /

You make me believe in myself/

Pride so i don't need help/

And I thank you/

I wouldn't know where I'd be without you/

A round of applause you deserve it/

Losing you for all the money in the world /

It wouldn't be worth it/

Life without you seems like no purpose/

I know life ain't perfect /

But we just move on/

Your the reason why I stay strong/

I waited to see you smile for so long/ you deserve it
