A Letter to Him
To Him,
Hi,
I never planned on this.
Speaking to you again,
That is, until last week.
I needed some sort of closure,
But that's not what I got.
I got pain, more,
Agonizing pain.
Yes, you apologized,
But that was not enough.
It was never, ever,
Going to be enough.
What happened that night,
It's never going to go away.
It will always be there,
To haunt me,
Every day,
Every night.
People ask me about it,
If the pain is getting better,
But it hasn't.
It never will.
When we last spoke,
I didn't say it all.
I didn't tell you everything.
About the anxiety,
About the sleep loss.
About the pain,
And the lack of trust,
The depression,
And the self doubt.
It is all there,
And it's never going away.
You destroyed me,
But I'm trying to rebuild.
Do you know how hard It is?
To fix someone
Who is broken?
I'm broken,
It's not easy to be fixed,
It's not easy to trust,
It's not easy to love.
I am a broken girl
Thanks to you,
But I will get better,
I will overcome this.
You put me through hell that night.
But I will become stronger.
So in advance,
Thank you,
For making me a stronger person.
From,
The Girl you Broke
