A letter to life

Dear life,

you have put me through strife

as a child I was innocent

and now that I have grown, I’m not exactly magnificent

I have had many laughs and cries with you

with life sometimes I think I am through 

When I thought love ran out 

You took me through another route

I found sweet love

The kind that makes you give thanks to above

At first it was nothing serious

but before I knew it he was making me delirious

I am now walking down the aisle

I see loves beautiful smile 

I start to imagine how our children look

I remember what life had took 

Later I get the children as I hoped

But now my life has sloped

I am old and in solitude 

however I live with an attitude

I used to hate you 

But now I love you

I know death is around the bend

I know that life is going to end

So I close my eyes

I forget all of your lies

and I will always remember life you see

and what it did for me
