letter to a lost girl

I thought for weeks

I was never quite sure what to say.

I hear you all the time

You ask me if i remember our plan to be the first female president

To tell you the truth?

I don't

Many of my close friends know your name

None ever new you

I never want to tell them what you were like

But at the same time

I do

I want to thank you

But at the same time i want to curse your name

Mia

It's your name that people first see on a job application

Mia

It's your name that teachers first see

mia

Its your voice that people hear when i talk

Its your body they see

Your gone but

you are still the one everyone sees

It drives me crazy

I know how people don't want to see you go

But your already gone

I bind your chest so i can walk without wanting to hide

Trying my best not to look like you

Your pictures are still on my profiles

When my dad looks at me he still sees you

All i want is for them to see tyler

All they can see is mia

Im sorry

But no matter what i never hated you.
