A Letter to Lost Love

Dearly beloved,

Watch as my tears leave my eyes for you.

Let my soul tear to millions of pieces for you.

How many things would I do for you,

if you were still here?

I tore myself apart for you.

I gave my deepest love to you.

I sacrificed my time for you.

Yet you still left.

How I loved you,

How I yearned for you,

How I laughed with you,

but in the end, you did not stay.

What did I do to you?

I think strange thoughts of you.

I am so confused about you.

Why did you leave?

Dead – that is not you.

Gone – I do not wish that of you.

Heartless – I cannot believe that of you.

No, you wanted to leave me.

Watch for me, darling.

Keep an eye on me, darling.

Observe the way I sleep, eat, dance, darling.

Mind how my life crumbles away,

Without you.

Lovingly,

Your Lost Love
