Letter to Love

Dear Love,

It began when I was in the eighth grade

I saw her in the cafeteria

Kids playing around like its an arcade

Hoping she’s not filled with all the drama

I would love to make her more than a friend

I need the courage to go talk to her

I must say something before the weekends

Soon we will be together forever

I spoke up cause I need her in my life

She gave the answer I wanted to hear

Hopefully one day she will be my wife

Now we’ve been together for one full year

Years have passed since I'm holding on to her

Five years later we are still together

Sincerely your other half,
