Letter for me
Dear me,
My name is Cori Yancy.
When most people think of me, they think crazy, unique, smart, sweet, awkward and uplifting.
And they love to ask “Are you blasian?”
And now you are thinking “why are you invisible?”
I am invisible because I want people to see more than just my personality.
I want them to see every inch of love I have for thee.
I want them to see the constant hard work I put into everything.
I want them to see a leader in me that could lead them to victory.
I want them to see the history of the people who came before me.
I want them to see the lady that my mother taught me to be.
I want them to see the advice & lectures my father has spoken to me.
I want them to see the intelligence my teachers have put in me.
I want them to see my friends that have been there through everything.
I want them to see the big sister I am becoming.
I want them to see the compassion & love my big sister has given me.
I want them to see the constant smile my grandfather taught me to keep.
I want them to see the wisdom my grandmother has passed down to me.
I want them to see me strive for excellence like my Joyjoy told me.
& most of all I want them to see the Lord that strengthens me.
Now I’m pretty sure that you understand what I you to see in me.
So now what do you think of me?
Am I visible because I just told you all I want you to see or is it because you saw it all along in me?
