letter to my 17 YR OLD son
why am i writing this in red ink? It seems so serious.
It is time for you to grow into the man God has intended. You have had 17 years of childhood.
Now you must work for your future.
I had a dream that your dad died. I looked to YOU for the strength of a man. We need to "work you out" in a Spiritual Gym.
Time to work the soil of your life. THIS IS SERIOUS...
You can still play, but if you don't start putting work and discipline first... your life will show it.
Order is important. You must bbe able to find things and lessen stress. Not knowing where TO FIND THINGS is half the battle of peace versus stress.
A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING A TIME FOR EVERYTHING
You must play and relax- but even GOD saved that for the last day.
Work breathes with clear, clean organization. Work is study, reading, thinking. Work is making money... or not. Work is when you help your parents around the house. YOUR JOB is school. Your payment is the next step. Work hard and your direction has more options.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER... God has something intended for you. Just as he does for all of us. We touch each other's lives. We are connected. God has a beautiful plan for you-- but you have some work to do to be ready for it. WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU.
Some of our friends need us, We need some of our friends... some pull us up; some down. Fly with friends that pull you up. The view is much better and you really do have the wing span. you can pull others up when you are strong enough AND KNOW THE heights of your flight-- that is not yet.
Choose friends well. It matters. Constantly talk to God and don't fly solo. Keep the dove close. Ask the dove to guide your direction. you are a man now- young, but still a man. Realize that you already are making decisions for your children, your family, your people. We matter, they matter, it matters. Make wise choices. IT MATTERS.
