A letter to my body

Dear Body,

Oh, how I wish to love thee. I dress you each morning and watch you in the mirror, but you never show an image back I want to see. I know girls can be both big and small but somehow, I seem to miss it all. You are never the right size and thus my hatred of you will likely be my demise.

Oh, my dear body, how I wish to be your friend. Our relationship I want to mend. If only I could run my fingers along you and not feel the brokenness. When I think of you I only feel hopelessness.

I am not yet ready to forgive and forget. But one day I will be, I bet.
