Letter to my dearest friend
Dear bulimia, You are always on my mind from the minute my day begins to the minute sleep takes over. In the past few months, we become very familiar with each other. We starting as long distance friends; regularly thinking of each but not meeting up. Our friendship grew and progressed I started encountering you a few times a week. Then you became a part of me, I see you 3-5 times a day. Our encounters are not pleasant. You leave me in tears and gasping for air. Every time we meet, I instantly become disappointed with myself because I keep allowing your visitations. This is the most toxic relationship I have ever had but it brings the most satisfaction. The satisfaction is the reason I can’t ever let you go. Nobody knows about our friendship but they are suspicious. The side effects are evident on me. I feel the pain of this toxic friendship in my bones as they ache every morning and every night. Hunger and exhaustion are very familiar states. No hours of sleep are ever enough to feel better or refreshed. I’m too ashamed and afraid to tell anyone of our relationship but I’m more concerned about my frail body because it’s giving out.
