Letter to my ex

Dear Ex Lover,

I loved you until I could no longer.

Until my heart was empty and drained.

When I failed to cry more tears and the last song was sung.

I loved you with all I had, with every bit inside.

Yet instead of giving it back, you let a monster grow inside. 

You left me alone to deal with it.

Knowing even I couldn't tame this beast.

A beast created from trust issues and false realities.

At this point feel broken.

I can't even love the same.

Because when I want to give someone my all,

I have this beast who can't be tamed.

Now the pain you left me will never fade,

but as long as you're happy I guess I'll be okay.
