A Letter to my Future Self

Next year I will be able to look at you and see a distant memory

All these broken pieces of you will be put back together

Still cracked and fragmented

But still one piece

These thoughts running through your head will no longer bog you down

Your heart will beat with passion and soul again

No more will you cry through the night from pain I caused you

You will become a different being

I hope that a year from now your eyes shine brightly with possibility again

That confidence you worked so hard to gain fills you once more

Peace becomes your routine

I wish for you to become me again
