A Letter to My Future Self

Dear Future Self,

You were unsure,

So full of heart and full of life

That the world wasn’t ready

To learn how to handle it.

You were a storm waiting to burst through windows.

You just didn’t know it.

The obstacles that got in your way

Were nothing compared to the force you could use to bring them down.

You questioned yourself.

You didn’t know your potential.

You were destined for things that you didn’t even believe

Were in your grasp.

But here you are.

You are powerful.

You have mountains at your feet,

The sun in your eyes,

And greatness in your soul.

The things that put you down before

Can only raise you up now.

The future is limitless.

You will be great.

You will be greater than great.

You will reach far up into the clouds,

Past the sun

And into the galaxy.

You will be here.

You will be there.

You will be free.

You will be happy.

You and I both.

Sincerely,

Yours
