A letter to my past self

Dear Past Self,

Can you comprehend

the love others

have for you?

You constantly fret

your words

and actions,

aren't enough (they are)

You should really learn

to let things go.

Those endless nights

of torment,

eating

you

alive

just aren't worth it.

But,

I guess we have to

thank those restless nights.

For now we understand.

Those never-ending nights

made

us

stronger.

Because,

without hurt,

we don't know

relief

sadness

pain.

But most importantly,

we wouldn't know

true happiness.

With love,

Your future self.
