A Letter To My Sister

I thought about you today, as I so often do.

I remember all the talks we had together,

I knew I could depend on you to stand by me through any kind of weather.

You had an infectious laugh, that when you laughed everybody else would laugh too,

those are some of my fondest memories of hanging out with you.

Even though it's been several years that you've been gone, tears still sting my eyes every time

my mind settles upon you.

I know no matter what else happens in my life, I'll never forget you,

and even though we fought at times, I'll never regret having loved you.

You were my sister and that's all that mattered to me,

and here in my heart you'll always be,

and until we meet again I will always be thinking of you.

You will forever be dear to me and I miss you!

I enjoy writing poems, lyrical poetry, and slam/spoken word poetry. I have very unique style of what I do. Some poems are based on stuff from the heart, others are for making people think and maybe even inspire people to change their lives. I also write to entertain people as well. I love reading novels and doing jigsaw puzzles, I also am an awesome cook, and can cook and clean like nobody's business!
