Letter to My Skis
Dear Skis,
We have had crazy fun times over the past two years.
When I first got you, you were so new and untouched. I marveled at your shiny, glossy top and your smooth, sleek bottom.
You have taken me places I have never thought possible. Places I feared and places I craved.
We have glided over snow and ice.
We have traveled wide and seen many new places.
The memories we have together are impossible to forget.
The grooves you have we created together, they represent the tough times we've had.
In our times together, the good always out-weighted the bad
I love the sound you make on the crisp, groomed, fresh fallen snow. So peaceful and realxing, it's exactly what I needed.
My eyes become blurred at the thought of you.
Instantly I am saddened because I know our time together is over.
You have made me happy an infinite amount of times.
I thank you for all you've ever done for me.
I thank you for all the memories we've shared.
I thank you for always being there for me.
My nordic cross country skis, I thank you.
Love Forever and Always,
Kealey Hendricks
