A Letter to Myselves

Dear Me,

I hate the way you look.

I detest the way you dress.

If you were to ask me what I think, I’d say your life was a mess.

Dear Me,

                Good job on that test.

                Great job in that class.

I never doubted you had it in you, to get a good grade and pass.

Dear Me,

                You don’t deserve her love.

                You don’t deserve his respect.

Was there anything but pain that you came to expect?

Dear Me,

                I promise it’ll get better.

I assure you, you’ll find happiness.

The world will finally glimmer, and it will take your last breath.

Dear Me,

                I hate you.

                I hate me.

Leave me alone and let me be!

Dear Me,

                I can’t love you.

                I can’t hate you.

You are me. I am you.

From,

You
