A Letter Never Read

Since the beginning, you were my best friend…

You quickly scaled the ranks, I made you my man.

You saw me in your future, I saw you in mine

No matter the situation we pulled through time after time!

Always called you my husband, you always called me your wife

and nothing could have prepared me for you taking your life!

Those demons had to have a mighty hold on your mind

to lead you to the decision of suicide...

If you had only believed that my love for you was real

I'm pretty sure I could have helped you cope

I could have helped you deal…

I would have nevered pictured a day you were away from me,

a day that I couldn't kiss you and your arms weren't a guarantee…

I never thought I'd endure a night without your voice,

can't say I understand, but I do get you had a choice…

I hope it did what you needed, hope it ended the pain...

still trying to wrap my mind around never seeing you again!

I thought I was through crying

thought I was empty of tears,

but I also thought that I'd forever have my baby here...

This ain't out of anger,

honestly, it's out of love...

I'm typing in hopes of sending a message into the up above...

If I could connect my heart to headphones and plug them in your ear

I'm pretty sure the pain there would even bring you to tears!

I'm tuffing’ it out, doing my best to cope...

I guess that's why I'm writing a letter to someone who will never get to read what I wrote
