The Letter Never Sent
I see you sitting from afar and i can't help
Felling the way i do about you right now
If i were told to explain in a few short words why i feel the way i do,
by the time i finished, I'd have a whole novel in your honor.
this is so unlike me that it's surprising,
But I expect just a bit to come out of this whimsical development.
This I know to be certain: I couldn't let another day pass,
Not without sharing how i truly feel about you
If I were standing in a multitude of people, no one else would catch my eye
Something about you draws me so ever near--a gravity--pulling so strong
I can't help but go out of my way just to see you,
To attempt to engage in conversations and just to give myself the excuse to look Into your eyes...
There's just something about you that i can't quite place,
A mystery that has me enthralled---
From the moment i first saw you, i could sense that there was something different about you
When i'm near you, i get this unexplainable "vibe"...
IT's also very hard to strike a conversation, despite
MY heart knowing all the right things to say--the inordinate trail of words
Refuse to flow from my mouth.
I don't know what it is about you, but i like it...
But i can't stop wondering if i'm going about this all wrong, that my dreams
Have taken the best of me.
Maybe I'm too much of a romantic...
I can't even talk to you without feeling the least bit shy
It's funny how all the attractive ones intimidate me...
But you can't help being that way, someone no bone else has caught sight of,
Luckily for me--not that i've already claimed you...
I want to tell you so much, but putting it into the right phrases is always the hardest
Maybe i'm a fool for feeling...
