Letter to Survivor

Dear survivor,

Oh boy, has time never been crazier! I hope you are safe from this retched man slaughtering infection. Quarantine stole the happiness that I once had taken for granted. The isolation is getting to me. I have never wanted to walk through a cold ocean’s water more than I do now. My hands ache with the desire of human connection. I haven’t stepped a single foot out of my dwelling since friday, March 13th, that’s when it all started to burn. Whatever happened to the good, old, late night robberies on the news? Whenever I turn on the T.V, my spine shivers at the large number indicating deaths caused by COVID-19. Everyday on every news channel, I gaze at the same old, wrinkly, annoying, orange, idiot. How far did our society have to fall into the ground to be taking orders from this imbecile some of us proudly call President. Once in a while, I get the thought of running away, far away, maybe into the sunset. How could I possibly achieve this? I wouldn’t be able to get far enough elsewhere without meeting my manifest  destiny of reunition with my ancestors. The feeling of lonesomeness is riding down my back, like a stallion galloping towards the horizon. When you’re little, you only read about the apocalypse, you never prepare for one. Even if you are that type of person that has a bunker underground, No amount of toilet paper or medicine can save you from the sprinting airborne diseases that entered  our earth from god knows where. I don’t believe it, I had been satisfied by a wind storm just the other night. I guess when i’m doing nothing but eating and getting fat everyday, my mind accustomed to lower standards of amusement.  Please, whatever you’re doing right now, STOP! If the virus is over with, go outside, hug a loved one, Swim in the Ocean, take an adventure! You never actually know how much you want to breath fresh air, or touch another's skin, until it’s just out of reach. Live to your fullest life. Climb the highest mountains. Touch the sky. Do more than what you think is too much, try everything before it disappears right in front of your eyes. Keep believing if all else has failed.

Sincerely,

A victim of never ending hell
