Letter to Time
How could you?
Stealing years! Months! Days! Seconds!
As you tick by…
…you bring nothing but pain
But sorrow, but grief.
But anger!
You! You stole from me!
You steal from every person…
but…you stole from me…
You hit me so hard,
I fell,
not to the earth, but from it.
So deeply into nothingness,
that I nearly drowned on the absence of air.
You nearly kill me,
too soon,
like you kill everyone.
Like you killed him.
Gave us the hope,
then sped up the clock.
Tick
Tick
Tick
A time bomb in his chest exploded.
Killing him,
drowning him,
like you nearly drowned me.
Do you remember that…
…time?
