A Letter to Us
Dear Us,
We cry for worldly things,
Caught up in what this temporary place brings.
We sit around and wait
To be asked out on a less than perfect date.
We run around and around in circles until
All we do is run late.
For what? For nothing. No gain. No more happiness or pure bliss.
So what did we miss?
We missed the whisper calling us to look up and fold our hands.
We thought if we stopped, we would fall behind and be topped.
But, instead we are missing the call.
So blow the dust off of that little black book,
And take one trying look,
Then close your eyes or look back up at the skies,
And make a free call up to the Father of all.
Love,
A person just like you
