A Letter to a Younger Me

Dear Julia,

Don't Feed the Demons

The Demons are Immune

To that Voice Inside of You

Saying You Can Make It Through

Yet You Deem It Untrue

Don't Feed the Demons

They've Fought Hard to Get In-

Side Your Mind-- Not Again

Their Power Comes From Within

They'll Claim Your Innocence

Don't Feed the Demons

They Feast On Lies

Don't Lie Awake At Night

They'll Eat You Alive

You Must Release Them to Fly

Just Release Them

Cry

Sincerely,

Your future self
