Letters to an Angel
Dear Mom, I’m writing another letter,
I pray that you are feeling better.
I feel scared and I feel alone.
Mom, why won’t you answer the phone?
I miss you so much I can’t help but cry,
And I’m angry when I ask god why.
The family tries to lean on one another,
But Mom just answer me, sister, or brother.
Is it true you can’t come home?
Heaven’s gates won’t let you roam?
I don’t think I can understand,
Why god chose then to take your hand.
Why he took your soul away,
On the dark and chilly day,
I am marked with your name,
For in my heart I’m not the same.
