Letters from my Soul

She walks in beauty and in grace,

at peace with her soul and whispers of

her heart

She thrives as light in my darkest hours

guiding, holding, caressing

all the things which I've learned to

crave, are gifts from her heart

she speaks the words that I have

lost, and sings the song of my soul

"Love," she says, "is a horrid thing.

it makes you need it, but punishes

you with grief when you learn to

accept it."

"Run," she goes on, "or forever be ensared in the consequences of your

love.

hearts are wild creatures

'tis why our ribs are cages."

"But I could never run from you," I cry.

"Oh how I wished you say so

then learn to touch my soul,

feel for its cracks

pour yourself into me, your desires,

dreams and hopes."

and so I did.
