Letters from my Soul

almost is nearly impossible

for people were not built to

love halfway; they do or they

don't.

i fell too hard and in the end

learned what 'almost' feels like.

you almost loved me

we almost made it

i almost gave it all up

for who am i if not loved by you?

i am icarus, you were my sun

is it true i loved you too close...

too much?

what kind of insanity is it to

feel love for someone physically

incapable of such deep emotion?

i handed you my heart in a little box

with a bow and a love note on top

and you held in, not sure of

what to do with the gifts i'd given

so i'd give you more

i'd give it all for a smile in return

to ensure you knew the depth of my

love

but i was too much, so i packed up

my love

and gave you space.
