Letting Go

A red sun slowly set,

softly burning the clouds

it hid behind.

Filling the gap

between ocean and sky.

Suddenly before me,

staring me in the face

all the regrets

I never knew I had.

I caressed each one

as they gently rolled

into the sea.

Letting them go,

I breathed.
