Letting Go

My anthem.

You were the

Posters

Painted on

The walls

Of my mind.

Intoxicated or not

The calls

I made were

To you;

No answer.

My love is

Fleeting

And I know

I should take

Apart

The Monument

Of clay

I made of you.

I will take it

Apart gently,

Piece by piece,

Bit by bit.

I will always

Love you

And want you.

But I can

No longer play

These games.

I tire of

This charade.
