Letting Go

You never thought you'd have this so you hold on,

The last thing you ever wanted to do was move on,

But now it feels like this is too far gone,

And maybe it is.

You wanted your faith but you needed your greed,

But that's no way to live if you ask me,

Because greed is chains while faith sets you free,

That's what I have come to known.

This isn't giving up,

No,

This is letting go.

Letting go of your hurtful past,

All of the things that ever held you back,

Every single label you wore as a mask.

Letting go could be the only way to save you,

Give into faith and let go of the things you've been through.

If you're locked away you don't need power and money,

So let go of those things,

And let faith be the key.

This isn't giving up,

No,

This is letting go.
