Letting Go

I let you go because I love you.

You were my other half

your smell was comforting

being with you felt like home.

I feel lost without you

and I don't know if it's because of the absense of your love for me

or mine.

But I realized love is not clinging on to someone who completes you

You should complete yourself

You need to be whole before you share your world with someone

I was not whole before you and now I feel empty without you.

Maybe it was never love

Maybe it was the idea of love that kept me going back

But because I love you I must let you go and let myself heal.

Because I love you I want you to heal too

I want you to find what you're looking

I want you to find yourself.

I want to be whole without you.

I want to stop feeling empty.

Maybe one day our universes will crash again

and we will learn to love the right way.
