I let you go.

They said it would be simple but

I cried for months.

 

I let you go.

They said it needed to be done but

I regret the choice.

 

I let you go. 

They said I was better off but

Please, come back.

 

I let you go.

They said I would forget but

In my mind, you remain.

 

I let you go.

They say you found someone but

I still love you. 

 

I let you go...

 

Why did you not fight for us?
