Letting My Walls Down
Dear boy,
It’s been ages since we last spoke
You may have found your perfect girl
While I still wait for my Prince Charming
Yet, in the middle of the night
I grab my waist, imagining your hands holding it
I graze my lips, imaginings yours covering mine
I feel my heart ache, imagining you feel the same way
In school, I wonder where you are
Did you pass your army training?
Have you changed your habits?
Do you think of me?
I never told you how I felt
I loved you
And pushed you away
I needed to protect myself
From your tendencies to wander
You had a habit of hunting for others
But if you die, somehow tomorrow
I wonder if I’ll be
The fleeting thought you never forgot
Because that’s what you’ll be to me
