Let’s Take a Shot for You

You were playing both roles that we already knew, a mother and a father two roles but one you. A couple of hard times but you prayed to get through. You endured some consequences of the same thing but you left it in the past. Although you tried to make it last, forever don’t last. No broken promises ever came from you. And if we wanted it, we got it, and you always made sure our wishes come true. Never given up on us when times were looking bad and those sicknesses that you gotten had never stopped you from going down your blessed path. Taking on roles, playing every leading characters of an actor – you bad HUN. A mother with two kids trying to lead them down the right path. No you can’t do a man job but you’re doing everything you could that is right and showing that a man’s duty can be done by you – this image was the right fit for you. An independent woman with a life of two kids, trying to keep her head up high although I see the pain kicking inside. Mother air that pain out, all the stress needs to break through, for you are an intelligent, unique woman and these are the two words that explains you.

A shoulder to lean on, if we needed one you gave us two – MOTHER --FATHER. It seems like you been both of these things to us - it just simply fits you. And if I had to write a book about it, it would be called “Life with my SUPERWOMEN” which is you. A woman who is strong, wise and unique, build up two strong girls that is similar to you. A woman, who conquers her dreams, led her two daughters to reach their goals and conquer theirs too - these are a lot of things that make you different than other parents which make you so true. You’re a friend to many, a reaching hand and shoulder to cry on to some and you lend your ear to listen even when you have your pain build up inside you.

Mom, I know I can count on you without questioning it and depend on you without hesitation. And with a lot of pain filled in your eyes, tears that want to cry, anger that doesn’t want to die, being told lies after lies, and broken promises with a tough life, you never broke down. You were strong holding down my dad when he was in the pound, taking care of us three and at the end didn’t cry a sound. You been taking care of me as a single parent since I was born and the thought of you not being in my life I would be torn.

You are my best friend and my secret keeper, that’s why we have a bond that can’t be replace – I value those hugs and kisses smacked on your beautiful face. So please forgive me if I portray any disrespect that fills anger in your heart when I am mad at you or I made you sad because even than you still show love and smiled in my face. You keep it REAL, you told me that the road of life is not going to be easy for me and I can only make it harder for myself depending on what type of vacation I take leading down that road.

Mom, you are more than a conquer to me and right now the type of vacation I want to take on this road is the focused of our special times leading to a road of good memories. Starting with the questions from when I come home from school and you asked me how my day was and although I always cut you short, you still smile because I don’t have a lot to say. And because you made everything possible, life without you would make my life so stoppable. You’re my guidance, my angel and every day I want it to last, so no more overtime, kids demanding time or situation drawing away your time; it’s a vacation time so ROOOOOAAADDDD TRIP- ROAD TRIP is certainly on me just for you.

Thanks again mom of playing the role of a MOTHER and a FATHER.
