You lovely little thing

Teeming with sweetness and charm

Welcoming when I get to the round table

After completing my labor

By that I mean the landmark stairs, of course

I usually just sit on the floor

But you and Terese resolutely will not stand for it

You take such lovely photos-

Of her, and my track, and elegant tea-parties among the bourgeoisie

It’s strange-

Despite so many odds that would push us to familiarity, I still do not know you all that well

We are seniors, and in the few moments we have left, we ought to change that

Since you are sweet, and kind and wonderful

At least I know you that well.
