Liar

I would say it’s dark, but I would be lying.

There is light coming in, but it’s the leftovers

Reflections of the authentic ones.

I’m home alone.

Liar.

The dog’s here.

Truths, really deceptions.

Giving myself snow, but it’s only a snowglobe.

Going to be a great day

Full of potential

Not really.

It’s 1:47 and not a decision made

“Big-school or small-school,”

“2,000 or 32,000”

Who knows what I want,

Which school hugs me

Like the freshly baked cookie-smelling Grandma I always wanted.

Gives me hope.

Oh wait.

Me.

Liar.
