Liberty

You can try to fool yourself to thinking you wanted me all along But the fact is that you only wanted what made you a song Another figure of rejection and flaunted misunderstandings Never faithful to the man that would give you his only planet He always thought if he would be her protection Every revelation, she’d want to drop her daunting confession Another song, a mishap shaping to his emotions He was me, and I am him, but forget deserving devotions You needed liberty, couldn’t commit to only one man You wanted all the 'talent' that would show you how to depend And every dime, every cent of it, you couldn’t control You broke my heart and lost your mind, and now you’re diggin for gold And every sect of me, part of me, feeling for your company Is dead to me, you lied to me,and said you loved me endlessly I’m sitting her and feeling all the pain of your variety Calamity, depression and solitude of insanity No, I never felt that I was out of my mind I wished in time that you would grow to be undoubtedly mine I see that I, lookin back, was naive in the head Thinking nothing of the many drops of tears that I shed I might have lost all that I had in control And in my soul I felt the world was coming down on my shoulders And I was holding, but just barely; being lost in your eyes But in my mind, because you would never be here right by my side So... keep your promises, your thoughts, and your co-partner creations Your felt love, your saved pain, and your own self-degradation And I’ll be here, looking for what was rightfully mine In due time, I hope that I can love, and peace... I can find I hope that someday you can find what you seek Or learn to love as I have loved and define New Liberty Cause I’ll be, sitting here, alone... in the dark Without conversation or the feel of you in my heart So now I’m standing at the brink of destruction In my apocalyptic era of corrosive combustion I’m moving on; not looking back at what I left far behind Cause my time, is far too precious to be lost in my mind Just goes to show how in control we can be And how the strength that we possess is what we call Liberty But I’ll save my words for somebody else Maybe somebody that would understand the pain that i felt Into the years, of our last scrimmage... I'm in this I’m feeling lost because my mind just cant stop thinking; I'm feeling I fell behind, And I feel I’m running out of my mind Like when I said I’m moving on but Life just told me... I’m lying Like when you lie awake in the night You try to sleep, but Life keeps flipping through the past; intentionally spites The things you’ve done, all the things that you just can’t run from Because the life that you live says something... needs to be done They say that time heals all wounds, and if thats true Then tell me... why can I not escape from the truth And the pain that accompanies the scar that remains From the world that I held... Well, I guess life... hasn’t changed
