Liberty's Land

Our lady stands upon her pedestal,

Her brazen torch a beacon for the free,

For in her stance, she breaches the hull,

Her sirens song, arise the refugee,

To close our walls, such a righteous disguise,

Without rights and health, for what does she stand

A bordered country? For who does she rise?

Is this the land of the brave or the banned?

Why must their hateful rage be satisfied?

Through deranged discourse we have all gone mad,

The land of the free must have trust applied.

To accept each other like a comrade

We must seek change, equality’s a right,

Liberty lead us to our former might.
