Library Journal
I sit at this desk
Weak wrists and fingers trembling over faded keys (tap)
Eyes heavy, knees bouncing
Anticipation setting in (tap) (tap)
Neck rolling, twisting in my chair. (tap)
Feeling nervous, feeling unready (tap)
Anxious but determined.
Wafts of old books and even older computers
Creaky chairs and wobbly tables (tap) (tap)
Quiet library, interrupted by occasional phone ring and sniffle
(tap)
