Wealth and beauty and happiness
Hard work, equality, pride used to get ahead
The American Dream is a wind guiding us to the perfect life, I guess
"Never give up.", they said; "You can do it.", they said.

Although seemingly great and pleasing and sweet,
It's a sham, a fake, a death trap in disguise that causes you to be misled.
The Dream is like a monster eating away at your insides and spitting them out on the street.
"Never give up.", they said; "You can do it.", they said.

My Dream is untouchable and impossible and unreachable.
When I couldn't reach, it hurt, I cried, I almost died.
When I couldn't reach, the pain was like a dagger in thw heart, unimaginable.
"Never give up.", they said; "You can do it.", they said. They lied.
