A Lie Believed
Dear Mr. President,
You have been told for most of your days “We’re fixing our world, we’re changing our ways.” You believe because you want to but you see if you tried to see past the smoke, past the lies and disguise. For there’s no greater disgrace to a man than to cry. We pray to a god who exists in our minds for a true god would leave us to just live our lives. There is no one answer, there has been no change as the thoughts in our minds have all stayed the same. For a woman in furs is gazed on with awe but a man on the street gives disgust to most all. We judge a man who is weak, a woman dominant; we use masks to hide from our empty promises. But it is not the act of the thought I say, it is the lack that shows truth and gives us away. It is with great fear that I write to you now to ask what solutions you have currently found. I ask for no money, no fame or reply. Only that you now give truth to this lie.
Sincerely,
Al Etirev
