Lie to Me

"Lie to Me"

Every secret-

Every word you say.

I can’t tell-

Just lie to me anyway.

My life’s just an alias-

Filled with falseness and bias.

Nobody told me

That you were always lying.

Lie to me one more time.

Lie to me this next rhyme.

I feel like

I’ve been betrayed

And nothing you can say

Will tell me it’s okay.

Every heartbeat-

Every time you look at me.

I can’t tell-

Just lie to me anyway.

My heart’s just a caged bird-

Wanting freedom in the world.

Nobody told me

That you were always lying.

Lie to me one more time.

Lie to me this next rhyme.

I feel like

I’ve been betrayed

And nothing you can say

Will tell me it’s okay.

My heart breaks-

My soul shakes-

And nothing can convince me, yeah.

That you want-

Nothing more-

Than to hurt me more than you have, yeah.

‘Cause you never told me-

Never told me

That you were always lying.

Lie to me one more time.

Lie to me this next rhyme.

I feel like

I’ve been betrayed

And nothing you can say

Will tell me it’s okay.

So lie to me one more time, yeah.

Lie to me one more time.

What kind of parent tells their daughter-

All my life has been slaughtered-

By lies?

You lied

All my life-

All my life!

So-

Lie to me one more time.

Lie to me this next rhyme.

I feel like

I’ve been betrayed

And nothing you can say

Will tell me it’s okay.
