The Lie Which Was Candy
I sit on my chair, and begin to wonder,
Clasping my head, which is falling down under.
I've always wanted, something divine,
But I know without it, I shall be fine...
But it seems to me, I'm falling apart,
A feeling deep, from within my heart.
I know that it is, a certain pain,
But with words I know, I shall not explain...
I just feel something, you won't understand,
Life's too fast, like slipping sand.
Every breath, is a precious jewel,
If one waste's it, then they're a fool...
I feel as though, someone's waiting out there
Ready to take me, but where oh where?
Where shall I find him? When will it be?
I have no clue, I shall have to wait and see.
It seems as though, it's my love,
With the heart of a lion; wings of a dove.
He is so brave, as brave as can be,
But when I ask, shall he come to me?
I know not when, when he shall arrive,
But waiting I am, waiting alive.
All I do, is sit at my chair,
Releasing my head, combing my hair.
They think I'm mad, to even think,
That he may come, within a blink.
But insane I'm not; I tell thy, I'm true,
The problem is most simply you.
Don't be sad, don't be offended,
I mean no harm, thy not insulted.
I just feel a pain, from deep inside,
I'll tell you merely, they all lied.
They said he would come, my darling prince,
And here I am waiting, and here I wince.
I flinch at the words, which you hurt me amid,
So I climb in my mind, and shut up the lid.
So the world to me, is just like a box,
But truly I know, there's no lid, nor locks.
How dare be it? Such a twisting lie?
Life to me is not sweet to thy eye.
I hear something, from deep inside of me,
What is it I wonder? What could it be?
I hear a crack, my heart is now sore,
It's my heart that cracked, I can't take it anymore.
I cry, I weep, I do all I can try,
But nothing works, oh my, oh my...
But then I hear, a knock on my cover,
But I turn away, and moan 'my lover, my lover'
'But I thought, you were waiting for me,
Darling princess, I'm here, don't you see?
You have waited, and I see you are the best,
My dear beloved, you have passed thy test!'
I stop and hear, the most striking poetry,
I stop my crying, and peeked out to see.
And it was him! I could not explain,
I have waited, and now he had healed my pain.
Oh goodness me, I leaped out with joy,
He pulled me close, and I felt suddenly coy.
He looked at me, deeply in my heart,
I knew from here, we wouldn't be apart.
He lifted me, and together we twirled,
Then we stopped, with our heads all whirled.
I looked at him and he looked at me,
The light of heaven, we could now see.
I smiled with joy, he smiled with delight,
And we stayed together, even through night.
When day grew in, I woke with a start,
Then when seeing my love, I felt my heart.
Here we were, just loving each other,
We would stay put, whatever the weather.
Never would we part, we would stay together,
Forever friends we were, forever and ever.
