Lies

"He's in a better place," they say, But there are emotions I will pay. My mind goes down paths and a walkway. "At least, they're together," is about my grandma, Though the pain hits pa and ma. "She's not suffering," oh rested tía. These are lies for a happier them. This is more like phlegm. Coughing up sadness and pain, thinking that they will gain for conscience sake sustain. Moons came and left. Suns cried and wept. I still fall. Pain carved by waves. The sadness growing caves. Now in passing say, The price that we shall pay The scales of time to weigh.
