Lies

They always say it gets better

but it doesn’t

A new year is a new you

thats a lie

your still the same person

even though the digits of the year change

2017 was a painful year

a home I thought I would be at peace

turned out to be a living hell

Robbing,shooting,loss on money

where is the happiness ?

death, disconsolate, and stressful nights

tears being the last thing I would feel before I fell asleep

when before they were kisses

that house I mention?

Don’t worry I’m being kicked out from it

that death I mention ?

Oh he’s dead

that’s robbery I mention?

the authority sure did an amazing job

the shootings  I mention?

you can still hear them at night

that stress I mention ?

it’s within me but shhh

Lies lies lies
